MARIN THEATRE COMPANY ANNOUNCES "BREL" TO CLOSE ITS 2007-2008 SEASON MILL
VALLEY, CA - Marin Theatre Company (MTC) has announced that the
acclaimed 2006/2007 Off-Broadway revival of JACQUES BREL IS ALIVE AND
WELL AND LIVING IN PARIS will fill the final slot of its 2007/08
season. The original production opened in 1968 at The Village Gate in
Greenwich Village and ran for more than four years. The 2006/07 revival
production opened in March 2006 at the Zipper Theatre in New York and
ran for a year receiving nominations for Outstanding Revival from The
Drama Desk, Drama League and Outer Critics Circle Awards. JACQUES BREL
will be produced in association with Dan Whitten, recent Tony Winner
for Jay Johnson: The Two And Only. The musical will play in MTC’s
231-seat Boyer Theatre from May 22, 2008 to June 15, 2008 (Opening
Night May 27, 8 pm). Kent Nicholson will direct the Marin production.
